The annual Fire & Ice Winter Festival is set to take place in downtown Canandaigua from Saturday, February 22, to Sunday, February 23, 2025, bringing a variety of winter-themed activities to the region.
Billed as a family-friendly winter event, the festival will feature ice sculpting and speed carving competitions, fire performances, a Siberian husky dog sled team, horse-drawn wagon rides, and a warm beverage trail. Attendees can also enjoy meet-and-greet opportunities with costumed winter characters and take part in cooking challenges.
New additions this year include candle-making and glass flaming demonstrations, a fireman experience, and a passport contest with a chance to win over $1,000 in gift certificates. Stilt walkers and encounters with winter animals are also planned to add to the entertainment lineup.
The event will also mark the kickoff of the FLX Winter Wonderland Photography Competition, encouraging attendees to capture and share images that celebrate the season.
The Fire & Ice Winter Festival has previously been recognized as a top-rated winter event, drawing visitors from across the region. It is organized by Canandaigua BID (Business Improvement District) and will take place at 115 South Main Street, Canandaigua, NY.
