A Canandaigua woman was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in connection with an alleged hit-and-run incident that occurred in the Town of Hopewell.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested Cassandra A. Ross, 39, of Saddle Horn Drive, following a report from the Ontario County State Police regarding a hit-and-run crash. Ross was located in the Village of Newark, where deputies stopped her vehicle.
Authorities say Ross appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the stop and was taken into custody. She was later transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where a breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.17%.
Ross was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued several traffic tickets. She was processed and released and is scheduled to appear in Newark Village Court on April 23 at 10 a.m.
